70's Inspired Denim Skirt

We're loving the seventies inspired denim skirt which can create an enviable ensemble. This versatile piece is a wardrobe essential for your effortless chic look - whether it's buttoned up on the front, comes with a slit or is a simple skirt ending right above the knee. And in addition to being a perfect piece for your summer wardrobe, you'd be happy to know that this denim skirt can be easily transitioned into the Fall season as well. Layer it with a smart jacket or coat, tights and knee high boots to keep you warm.

With its flattering silhouette it gives a simple and clean look, which makes it easy to incorporate it in your day-to-night everyday look.

How to wear 70's inspired denim skirt?
This versatile piece can be worn in different styles for every occassion - team it with a simple tank for your weekend look, wear it with a buttoned down shirt for the office, layer with luxe jacket and sexy cami or wear it with a flowy top. Whatever style you pick, remember to pick your denim skirt in a shade of mid-to-light blue that ends just close to your knee and has a slim fit.

Let's see some of our favourite looks donned by stylish celebs.

Kirsten Dunst shows how easy it is to pull of this look at two different occassions.

Kirsten rocked a street chic style in 70's inspired Stella McCartney's buttoned denim skirt paired with classic black blazer (she is wearing a Vanessa Bruno black crepe blazer) over a black top and gold sandals. The jacket brings a dressier element to the look, which can be easily transitioned from day-to-night.

While out and about, Kirsten yet again sports the denim skirt, this time in a lighter shade while out and about in New York. She looks cute yet stylish in a nude peter pan collared shirt, which she teamed with a 70's inspired denim skirt, finishing off her weekend look with Valentino nude Rock Stud handbag, gold sandals and Ray-Ban wayfarers. She looks effortlessly chic in this casual look.

I give Kirsten brownie points for teaming this season's two hot trends together and making it work with perfection - peter pan collar and 70's inspired denim skirt.

Lauren Santo Domingo, socialte and a contributing editor at Vogue, wears the denim skirt with a simple Ralph Lauren shirt, blue bag and elegant black shoes. Simple yet stylish.

Claudia Schiffer revived the Seventies in a denim buttoned skirt by Stella McCartney, which she wore twice in a row. First she was spotted in her seventies inspired denim skirt with a buttoned down blue shirt, teamed with a pair of tan wedges and a Salvatore Ferragamo tan leather bag - topped off with some oversized sunglasses. The second time around she added a floral scarf to the look and swapped to a cream, more feminine, shirt while keeping the same accessories. We love both her looks. You like?

What are we loving from the Autumn Winter Runway

The hotlist from runway of Autumn Winter 2011/2012 which are creating buzz right now.

Brights to make winters colourful

Lunch your winters in vibrant colours but give it a touch of edge - add bright hued tights, or wear a vibrant suit with knee high boots.

60s Inspired
60s inspired dresses were a fav on the runways. Bold shift dress worn with bright legwear as seen on Fendi runway, knee length and short dresses in brights or geometric shift dresses - they'll be your winter staple.

LBDs

LBDs with interesting twists were the thing on Autumn Winter 2011 runways. Miu Miu's chic and edgy yet wearable LBDs with a smattering of sequins and colour or Lanvin's structured LBD with benecked with brooch detailing - make your LBD edgy and up your style quotient.

Gossip Girl Season 5 Peek

Gossip Girl is definitely the most fashionable TV show, and I am sure anyone who loves fashion would love Gossip Girls.

We are all eagerly waiting for their next season to start. Before that does, lets peek at what the new season has in store, from what I see, I am already loving it - summer is on which means more fun and more colours.

Spotted Blake Lively fully tuned in for summer sporting key Summer trends bright colours and maxi-style skirt in Gossip Girl Season 5. The blonde bombshell, Serena van der Woodsen in the hit TV show, worked the summer look perfectly well wearing a sequinned vest against bright red maxi-styled Rag & Bone skirt. She jazzed up the look with an embellished Matthew Williamson waistcoat and a link necklace and bracelets. You like?

Looks like colours would be reigning in the forthcoming season of Gossip Girl. While the red sizzled things up, yellow brought on the Sunshine. Ah enough of the poetrish attempt!!!

Leighton Meester, i.e. the Upper Easter conniving and witty Blair Waldorf looked every inch stylish in her bright yellow ruffled top paired with citrusy Stella McCartney skirt. She accessorised it with a tangerine tote and towering Brian Atwood heels. Her red lips against the yellow perfected the look.

We see a new character with Blair in GG5. And from what we hear this latest addition is gorgeous brunette Roxane Mesquida. Is she wearing a Marni? We love what we see.

Roxane caught in another picture while shooting for Gossip Girl 5 in a sexy look. She's wearing high waisted shorts and a grey tee teamed with a Mulberry Bag. Very chic and stylish.

On the sets of Gossip Girl 5, Leighton was seen in two looks teamed with the flip flops. We're pretty sure Leighton would have swapped those flip-flops to some towering heels to play the role of Upper East Sider, Blair Waldorf.

In the picture below, Leighton is wearing a broacadish sheath dress in white. Love it.

Arriving at the Gossip Girl set, Leighton is wearing this gorgeous floral print Louis Vuitton bustier dress. I am guessing what shoes she'll swap with those flip-flops. Black heels?

Lily Van der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford) and Rufus were spotted on the sets of Gossip Girl 5 playing their part as the loving husband and wife. Lily looks stylish and pretty as ever in a perfect black dress with flat black pumps. Love her always sophisticated and stylish style. Who would mind turning 40 if they looked like her?

Now, now, now - who do we see here? The sexy Elizabeth Hurley in a sexy red number? From what we hear, she had some steaming shots with Nate Archibald. Some more interesting twists are awaiting in Gossip Girl 5.
